A loan move for Morata might interest Manchester United

Morata to Man United

Are Manchester United keen on a probable Morata loan move? There are rumors and news that indicate this possibility.

The Spanish International is rumored to be on a Manchester United loan link. Manchester United is looking to bring in some new names to Old Trafford. And Morata might be one of them.

Alvaro Morata, a forward for Atletico Madrid, may be a target for Manchester United during the January transfer window. Marcus Rashford has recovered his best form both during the World Cup break and throughout the tournament in Qatar. He is now a viable option for both the wing and the center of the attack.

However, because of Anthony Martial’s ongoing injuries and Cristiano Ronaldo’s well-publicized exit, United may run out of choices for center-forwards. It has been alleged for a number of months that Erik ten Hag was interested in acquiring PSV Eindhoven forward Cody Gakpo around the halfway point of the season. The Netherlands international himself had previously expressed a desire to make a move to Old Trafford, but on Wednesday night he completed a shocking transfer to Liverpool.

Manchester United shenanigans

According to ESPN, Ten Hag is upset that United didn’t sign a player he thought would be perfect for his attacking line at Old Trafford. According to the same source, United may now turn their attention to Atletico striker Alvaro Morata as they look into possible loan agreements.

In La Liga and the Champions League this season, Morata has made up to 16 starts and three substitute appearances, scoring five goals. It was assumed that Morata would stay at Wanda Metropolitano given the departure of Matheus Cunha and ongoing rumors over Joao Felix’s future.

However, if Atletico are open to loan offers, the Spain international might become a possibility, with much possibly riding on if a solution is found with Felix. Even though the 23-year-old Portuguese sensation is claimed to have many fans in the Premier League, Atletico is apparently pushing for a straightforward loan agreement.
