Arsenal ‘ahead of’ Man Utd and Chelsea to sign next Jadon Sancho with Arteta ‘a big fan’

Jamie Bynoe-Gittens

Arsenal are actively pursuing the 19-year-old Borussia Dortmund winger, Jamie Bynoe-Gittens, often dubbed as ‘the next Jadon Sancho.’

Despite Bynoe-Gittens signing a new contract with Borussia Dortmund, Arsenal seems to be leading the race for his signature, outpacing competition from Manchester United, Chelsea, and Newcastle, as per the German newspaper BILD.

Mikel Arteta, Arsenal’s manager, is reportedly a keen admirer of Bynoe-Gittens and aims to bolster his team’s attacking options.

Arsenal’s interest in Bynoe-Gittens arises from their need for a right-winger to provide backup for Bukayo Saka.

Although Bynoe-Gittens primarily plays on the left for Dortmund, he is versatile enough to operate on the right flank.

His recent contract with Borussia Dortmund runs until 2028, and while the German club is hesitant to part ways with him, a substantial offer could tempt them to reconsider.

Borussia Dortmund have a reputation for nurturing top English talents, as seen with the successes of Jude Bellingham and Jadon Sancho.

Both players, like Bynoe-Gittens, developed through the English academy system and rose to prominence in Dortmund’s iconic yellow and black kit.

While Jude Bellingham has made a strong start at Real Madrid following his £88.5 million transfer from Borussia Dortmund, Jadon Sancho recently faced setbacks at Manchester United, including a public dispute with manager Erik ten Hag, which resulted in his exclusion from the first-team squad.

The situation with Sancho at Manchester United remains uncertain, as it is unclear whether he can regain his place in the first team under Ten Hag’s management.
