Bundesliga giants line up winter move for €85 million Manchester United forward

Bayern Munich interested in signing Jadon Sancho from Manchester United

Bayern Munich are allegedly watching Jadon Sancho of Manchester United and might make a January deal.

Bayern Munich are planning a January transfer bid for Manchester United failure Jadon Sancho, according to Fichajes, with the Red Devils contemplating moving the England international in January.

The Red Devils eventually got their hands on one of the game’s most highly-coveted wingers in July 2021, spending €85 million for his talents.

After keeping eyes on him since 2018 and then opting against a deal in 2019 due to haggling over his transfer cost.

But, two years later, Sancho has devolved from being United’s right-wing answer to a shell of his former self.

Last season, he was missing from the Manchester United team for many months when manager Erik ten Hag sent him to the Netherlands for rehabilitation.

He was totally missing from Manchester United’s squad for the trip to Arsenal after only appearing in cameo roles in the first three games of the 2023/24 season.

Does Bayern Munich keep an eye on Jadon Sancho from 2018?

When questioned why Sancho was not in his matchday squad against Arsenal at the weekend, Ten Hag informed reporters that he had not trained adequately. The Dutchman’s remarks were not unnoticed.

Sancho responded forcefully, resorting to Twitter (X) to deliver an emotional defense in which he said he was a “scapegoat.”

Because of the public spat, the England international is in a delicate position at Old Trafford.

And it is doubtful that he will play this season, with United supporting the manager despite the repercussions.

With the English transfer window closed, the player and management will probably settle their differences in the coming weeks.

Despite reports of interest from Saudi Arabian teams, Fichajes insists that the player has no desire to leave the English club.

He will remain at Old Trafford before seeking a new club during the winter transfer window.

Thomas Tuchel will surely go for Sancho as he perfectly fits the role of play

To that aim, one club that might emerge “as the main contender” is Bayern Munich, who were in touch with Sancho’s representation over the summer and “could make a determined effort to sign him” in January. Bayern Munich is “confident that Sancho can regain his best level” in the Bundesliga.

Although Bayern has made no firm proposal, the Bundesliga champions are set to commence discussions with Manchester United for Sancho ahead of the winter transfer window. Thomas Tuchel aims to bolster his already brilliant attack even further.

Sancho’s stock has plummeted since joining Manchester United from Borussia Dortmund, and his market worth stands at €50 million, according to Fichajes.

Watching how this story develops over the next few months and how much Bayern are willing to spend for United’s out-of-favor ace will be intriguing.
