Erik Ten Hag focuses on strengthening the attack of Man United this season

Erik Ten Hag Planning new deal for Man United

The Man United manager Erik Ten Hag is looking to strengthen the attacking options by signing two new strikers in the upcoming transfer window.

The club expects Anthony Martial to depart after a disappointing season in terms of form and fitness. Ten Hag’s plan is to acquire one striker who can immediately fit into the starting lineup. Another younger option can be rotated throughout the campaign.

However, it appears that Erik Ten Hag will win the argument and convince the club to cash in on Martial. Previously, the Glazer family had blocked former manager Jose Mourinho’s attempts to sell Martial in order to lure Ivan Rakitic from Barcelona. But this time, the club is open to offers for the striker.

United are emerging as favourites to sign Hojlund.  Sky Sports reports that Man United are poised to formalize their interest in the player, believing that a bid of £43 million (€50m) would be enough to sign the striker.

Speaking back in January, Hojlund revealed his preference for joining United:

“Now that you ask, I will not hide the fact that I am a huge Man United fan. So personally, it would be one of the biggest things for me, but of course, that doesn’t mean that I would turn down other big clubs if the offers come at some point.”

While Tottenham are unwilling to sell Harry Kane, particularly to a Premier League rival. Napoli have set a high price tag for Victor Osimhen, United have turned their attention to other targets.

The club has held talks regarding potential moves for Atalanta’s Rasmus Hojlund and Eintracht Frankfurt’s Randal Kolo Muani.

Reports indicated that United’s interest in both strikers has progressed, and the club is now evaluating potential deals. This signifies a continued overhaul of the first-team squad under Ten Hag’s management.
