Fiorentina star Sofyan Amrabat agrees on personal terms with Man United

Sofyan Amrabat to Man United

The latest update suggests Man United have agreed on personal terms with Sofyan Amrabat, the Fiorentina midfielder.

Amrabat, who has impressed with his performances during the recent World Cup in Qatar, has attracted interest from several clubs, including Barcelona, AC Milan, Bayern Munich, Atletico Madrid, and teams in Saudi Arabia.

Meanwhile, Man United are close to signing Mason Mount from Chelsea for £60m; debut is possible next week.

Manchester United are reportedly making progress in their summer transfer dealings as they close in on their first signing, Mason Mount, from Chelsea.

The talented English midfielder has already arrived at United’s Carrington training ground, with the club agreeing to pay an initial fee of £55 million and an additional £5 million based on performance-related add-ons.

While the Mount deal nears completion, Manchester United actively pursues other transfer targets.

Man United reaches “Economic Agreement” with Sofyan Amrabat

Italian outlet La Nazione, via Sport Witness, reports that Manchester United are highly interested in the 26-year-old Moroccan midfielder and has reached an “economic agreement” with him.

Fiorentina, who reached the final of the Europa Conference League last season, are demanding a fee of at least €30 million (£26 million) for Amrabat, whose contract with the club expires in 2024.

Manchester United are reportedly willing to double his current weekly salary of €37,000 to secure his services.

It is worth noting that Sofyan Amrabat has a connection to United manager Erik ten Hag, as they previously worked together at FC Utrecht from 2015 to 2017.

Amrabat primarily operates as a defensive midfielder and would provide valuable cover for United’s Casemiro, whose absence due to suspension last season highlighted his importance to the team.

Nordin drops hint about Sofyan’s potential move away from the club

Amrabat’s brother, Nordin, who previously played for Watford, hinted at the possibility of a move to Manchester United in an interview with ESPN. He stated that his brother intends to play at the highest level, preferably in Spain or England.

The negotiations are ongoing, but it would bolster United’s midfield options and add strength to their squad ahead of the upcoming season.
