What Garnacho did in Chelsea training after Man Utd exit

Alejandro Garnacho has wasted little time making his presence felt at Chelsea after his summer switch from Manchester United.

The 21-year-old winger signed a seven-year deal with the Blues and has already shown signs of settling in at Cobham, where his training ground behavior has been under the spotlight.

Garnacho was put straight into conditioning drills by Chelsea staff as they assessed his fitness. He worked alongside fellow Argentine Facundo Buonanotte, who arrived on loan from Brighton.

The pair started in the gym before joining the squad on the pitch for a gruelling running session.

In footage shared by the club, Garnacho was visibly drained at the end of the exercise. Wesley Fofana cheekily welcomed him by saying: “Welcome to Chelsea Football Club.”

To which Garnacho replied: “I can’t move my legs now, man.” It was a lighthearted exchange but also showed the intensity of Chelsea’s training.

What Enzo Maresca said about Garnacho?

Speaking to reporters, Chelsea boss Enzo Maresca praised the winger’s early attitude. “He’s working well. For sure he needs to work because he arrived here probably not 100 per cent fit. So he needs to work. He’s working well and we’ll see. But hopefully soon we can give him minutes.”

The manager’s comments suggest Garnacho could feature sooner than expected, possibly in the upcoming clash with Brentford.

A fresh start in blue

For Garnacho, the move to Stamford Bridge came after a dramatic end to his time at Old Trafford, where he was dropped in key matches and later told he could leave.

Now, with a new challenge in west London, he has the chance to prove his worth again.

The winger has already declared his ambition, saying: “I have a winning mentality. I have passion and a big personality. It’s a natural fit with a club like Chelsea.”
