Man United striker reportedly set for ‘Big Money’ move to Saudi Arabia

Manchester United forward Anthony Martial to Al-Hilal

Manchester United have been offered huge money for their striker Anthony Martial from a Saudi Club.

The striker who was once considered to win Ballon d’Or is now considering a move to Saudi Arabia.

From Manchester United To Saudi – Martial has fallen

After getting signed from Monaco to Manchester United in 2015, Martial was expected to become one of the best players in the world.

The French football was one of the biggest signings in the post-Sir Alex Ferguson era. Now, he is rumored to be signed by Saudi club Al-Hilal.

The Monaco superstar was signed for £36 million which was seen to fit the bill. Now that Al-Hilal’s £46 million deal for Fulham forward Aleksandar Mitrovic has fallen through, United might get huge offer for their forward.

At present, a future for the Frenchman cannot be seen at Old Trafford. With eminent attacking options like Rashford, Garnacho, and Højlund, there are no positions where Martial could fit in.

After showing glimpses of hope during the 2019/20 season, the 27-year-old was considered to become Man Utd’s number 9 for a long period of time. He was their top scorer with 23 goals.

But due to all the managerial crisis after Solskjaer left, he was benched and was not getting much game time.

During Ragnick’s time as interim manager, Martial did not want to play for the Red Devils.

“He would have been in the squad normally, but he didn’t want to. That is the reason why he was not travelling with us yesterday.”

Said Ralf Ragnick during a post-match interview

Loan to Sevilla

Martial was sent on loan to La Liga side Sevilla in 2022 but managed to score only once. Sevilla were not convinced with his performance and decided not to sign him further.

After returning from Sevilla, the Frenchman was inconsistent in Ralf’s team. Martial went into the season with the hope of earning his name back but after the arrival of Ronaldo, he wasn’t given much chances.

Martial’s time with the Red Devils now looks to be disappointing. Anthony who was compared with Premier League legend Thierry Henry is now rumored that he is going to the Middle East.

Despite everything, Martial loves the club and its fans.

I love Manchester United, I love the fans, they give me a lot of joy.

Saudi Clubs want Martial

The Massy-Born player is now reported to sign for Saudi Pro League side Al-Hilal, according to The Mirror. The Saudi club has now shortlisted Martial after acquiring Neymar from PSG.

This would leave Ten Hag in a tricky situation with Rasmus injured and Rashford looking uncomfortable playing as No. 9.

With the money which Manchester United receives if Martial goes, the Red Devils will get funds for the Transfer of Sofyan Amrabat.

The Frenchman is also not in Ten Hag’s plan so this move can benefit both Martial and Manchester United.
