Man United Team News vs City: Wan-Bissaka, Malacia, Casemiro

Manchester United boss Erik Ten Hag to go after Isco

There’s some positive news on the fitness front for Manchester United as their first-choice right-back from last season, Aaron Wan-Bissaka, is edging closer to making a return to action.

Although he’s unlikely to feature in the upcoming Manchester Derby on Sunday, he is now in contention to be included in the squad.

Another encouraging update concerns left-back Tyrell Malacia, who has recently begun training for the first time this season. While he still has some way to go before being match-fit, any progress is welcomed.

Unfortunately, Luke Shaw, who competes with Malacia for the left-back position, will remain sidelined until next month.

Manchester United injury news

On the injury front, Lisandro Martinez, Kobbie Mainoo, and Amad Diallo continue to be unavailable indefinitely. Additionally, Jadon Sancho is suspended and his future with the team looks uncertain.

On a brighter note, Casemiro has returned from injury and served his suspension, making him available for selection.

However, despite his significant contributions in the previous season, the Brazilian midfielder has had a disappointing run this term.

He has faced multiple disciplinary issues and a noticeable drop in his performance, raising questions about his suitability as the team’s primary holding midfielder.
