Man Utd have now made major decision on Ten Hag’s future

Erik ten Hag Manchester United job in danger

After facing yet another defeat against Newcastle United by a margin of 3 goals in the Carabao Cup ten Hag has some serious questions to answer about the form of Manchester United.

According to Sky Sports reporter Dharmesh Sheth, the club’s decision-makers are confident that ten Hag has the skills and vision to help United return to the top of English and European football.

After a deafening defeat at Old Trafford against Newcastle and losing half of their first ten Premier League games, United are on the verge of an early Champions League exit.

Manchester United were knocked out of the Carabao Cup this week after losing 3-0 at home to Newcastle United.

This has put manager Erik ten Hag under pressure as the club heads into the final few games of the autumn period.

In other words, United’s performance in the Carabao Cup has led to increased scrutiny of ten Hag and his management style.

The club’s fans are hoping that the team can improve their results in the remaining games of the autumn period, otherwise, ten Hag’s position may become untenable.

Manchester United haven’t got going this season

After a dispiriting start to the season for the Devils ten Hag will be thinking of changing strategies to bring his form back to the dugout.

Manchester United have had a disappointing start to the season, losing three home games in the Premier League to Brighton & Hove Albion, Crystal Palace, and Manchester City. They were also recently eliminated from the Carabao Cup by Newcastle.

The Manchester United fans are unhappy with the team’s performance, and they are questioning Erik ten Hag’s ability to manage the squad.

Ten Hag has already had a falling out with Jadon Sancho, accusing him of not performing well enough in training. Sancho retaliated in a social media post that has since been deleted.

In other words, Manchester United fans are losing faith in ten Hag, and there is tension between the manager and some of his players.

This is a sign that ten Hag is under pressure, and he needs to improve the team’s results quickly.

Manchester United’s recent losses to Bayern Munich and Copenhagen in the Champions League have left them on the brink of elimination, further fueling doubts about manager Erik ten Hag.

Ten Hag’s cause has also been hampered by a string of failed signings, including the expensive acquisition of Ajax winger Antony, who has been ridiculed by some journalists.

Dharmesh Sheth update – Erik ten Hag

Sky Sports reporter Dharmesh Sheth says that Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag could be concerned about the status of his team, given that he had to use Jonny Evans and Harry Maguire as his center-backs in the Manchester derby defeat.

Sheth claims that ten Hag is under pressure, but he is still the preferred choice to lead the club forward. Sheth quoted further that:-

“If someone had told ten Hag at the start of the season that come the Manchester derby, the central defensive partnership would be Maguire and Evans, I think he would have been worried. That’s nothing against Evans and Maguire, but that would have suggested the number of injuries he would have had.

“But having said all of that, as I said before, he needs results. Every manager is going to come under scrutiny and under pressure, particularly a club like Manchester United. But then United have got to look at what’s happened in the past since Sir Alex Ferguson. It’s not just ten Hag who’s felt the pressure. Every single manager has. So yes, he is under pressure. But as it stands, the belief is that he’s still the man to take United forward as far as the club’s concerned.”

Opportunities to rediscover winning form are on the horizon

Even though a sudden turnaround in results won’t erase the memories of a terrible start to the season, it will definitely help to reduce the tension around Old Trafford and Erik ten Hag. This weekend, Manchester United travel to Craven Cottage to face Fulham in the capital.

Marco Silva’s side have enjoyed some positive results this season, including earning unexpected points against Arsenal and Brighton & Hove Albion.

But a lack of goal scorer for the Cottagers means United will be favorites to take the points back to Manchester, heading into a critical week for ten Hag.

Manchester United will travel to Denmark to face Copenhagen in the Champions League next Wednesday.

A win could see them reclaim second place in the group and secure qualification to the knockout stages, but a loss could leave them on the verge of elimination, potentially dropping into the Europa League or missing out on European football altogether after Christmas.

Luton Town will visit Old Trafford on November 11th, and manager Erik ten Hag is determined to avoid a major Premier League upset before the season’s third international break.
