Man Utd star involved in training ground fight causes transfer problem for Erik ten Hag

Hannibal Mejbri could leave Manchester United

Turkish club Besiktas are eyeing to push for a loan deal for Manchester United midfielder Hannibal Mejbri.

Besiktas have already signed Eric Baily on a permanent deal from Manchester United.

Besiktas wants Mejbri from Manchester United

Hannibal Mejbri joined the Red Devils in 2019 from Monaco after being watched by clubs like Bayern Munich, Barcelona and Paris St. Germain.

He has made 3 appearances in total for Manchester United from the start of the final match of the 2021/22 campaign – a defeat at Crystal Palace.

Mejbri caught the attention of Borussia Dortmund and Besiktas this summer with the later offering a loan deal.

Hannibal has not been part of any of the four games this season despite the absence of newly signed midfielder Amrabat. He was named as a substitute against Arsenal but was left unused.

The 20-year-old midfielder spent last season at Championship side Birmingham City where he scored only once in 41 appearances.

Mejbri wants to play for Manchester United but the club has been resisting offers to sign the player permanently.

Besiktas need an attacking midfielder

The Turkish window will be closing on 15th September and Besiktas are looking desperately for an attacking midfielder.

Besiktas boss Senol Gunes is demanding an attack-minded midfielder and thinks that Hannibal will be a perfect signing for them.

After being denied a loan offer with an option to buy, Besiktas are preparing an offer without an option to buy.

But Manchester United don’t want to let go off their academy graduate.

Although the Red Devils have brought in many better midfielders like Mason Mount and Amrabat which makes it tougher for Mejbri to be in the first-team.

Erik Ten Hag might hold on to the player to increase the team’s depth in case of any injuries. After returning from Birmingham, Mejbri has grown mature and has improved his gameplay.

However, considering the option Ten Hag has, it is better for Mejbri to leave the 20-time English Champions and receive more opportunities as he did in Birmingham City.
