Man Utd star spotted leaving training after just five minutes as injury fears emerge ahead of Brighton clash

Manchester United wants to sell Anthony Martial

Manchester United striker Anthony Martial was spotted leaving the training session after five minutes.

Martial has been a concern for Ten Hag since no future can be seen for the striker at the club.

Injury-driven Anthony Martial at United

Martial joined Manchester United from Monaco in 2015 for £45 million which was an obvious overpay seeing the player’s records.

After being at Old Trafford for 8 years, Martial has failed to hit the 100-goal mark. Injuries were one of the biggest reasons for his absence when the club needed him.

The striker has played 301 times for the 20-time Champions and has scored 88 goals to date. He spent most of his last season on the injury bench and made only 21 appearances.

The Frenchman has turned out to be a disappointing signing for the club. He was signed with a Ballon d’Or clause which stated that Manchester United would pay an extra £7.2 million if he won the award.

But he has been nowhere near to winning the prestigious award. Martial made his last appearance this season when the Red Devils lost to Arsenal 3-1.

He has started in 2 games and has made impactful contributions with his performance. Martial’s transfer to Man Utd is considered as a daylight robbery by some of their fans.

Martial leaves Carrington after just 5 minutes

Anthony Martial was spotted leaving the Manchester United training ground in Carrington after five minutes.

The 27-year-old striker was seen arriving at the training facility in his Mercedes G Wagon at 8:55 a.m. but then pictured leaving at 8:59 a.m.

The player has been always prone to injuries. He was not able to participate in the pre-season matches due to his fitness problems.

The reason for him leaving early is still unclear but considering his history, the departure might be due to an injury or health issue.

The striker’s future was also unclear this summer transfer window after being heavily linked to a move to Saudi.

Ten Hag does see him as a valuable player and Martial has a year to prove his worth of being between the greats.
