Man Utd star striker Rasmus Hojlund admitted he was fuming at his teammates on the substitutes bench, as the team came dangerously close to an injury-time collapse at the Molineux.

Man Utd gave their best performance of the season in those first 60 minutes against Wolves. ten Hag’s side were two goals with goals from Hojlund and Rashford up before Wolves’ Sarabia scored a penalty in the 71′ minute.

However, victory looked certain for the Red Devils following Scott McTominay’s strike to provide a 2-goal cushion with 15 minutes left to play.

That certainty quickly vanished soon after, as Max Kilman scored with five minutes left, and Pedro Neto sent the home fans wild after outwitting Andre Onana with a finish at the near post in the fifth minute of injury time.

Hojlund was taken off when victory looked assured and was left seething as he was forced to watch his teammates throw away a two-goal cushion with only 15 minutes left to play.

Fortunately for Man Utd, Kobbie Mainoo scored an outstanding solo goal dramatically in the seventh minute of injury time to finally seal the deal for the Red Devils.

Striker was not happy with teammates

Speaking to Metro News, Rasmus Hojlund said:

“We need to sort them situations out better, I was fuming on the bench of course. We need to do better in this situation. We turn it on again but we are happy.

He spoke on teammate Kobbie Mainoo after his matchwinner:

“I didn’t really get to see him in pre-season but everyone was saying he is an incredible talent.

He has a nice body type and he is mature already. He is very cam and also outside the pitch he is a nice and relaxed guy.

You can see he is composed. He is an incredible talent. I thought I was young but he is stepping up at the age of 18.”

He concluded by speaking on the season ahead and hopes to win every trophy available:

“I don’t want to jinx anything but hopefully it can be a turning point. It’s a big win away and maybe we can get some wins going.

January was OK for us and now I hope we have a nice February. We take every game at a time and we go for everything we can win.

We want to win every game and go for the FA Cup and get as high in the table as we can. Hopefully we can get the Champions League.”

Man Utd currently sit in 7th with 35 points, 11 points behind 4th-placed Tottenham, and faces an uphill battle in the fight for the top 4 after a disastrous start to the season.
