Manchester United Team News: Erik ten Hag Provides Update on Three Players Ahead of Wolves Game

Erik Ten Hag on playing style at Manchester United

Erik ten Hag has provided updates on three key players ahead of the Premier League between Man Utd and Wolves away at the Molineux.

Man Utd team news vs Wolves: Onana returns

Erik ten Hag has provided updates on the status of Andre Onana, Marcus Rashford, and Mason Mount ahead of the Premier League match against Wolverhampton Wanderers.

Ten Hag said that Andre Onana would be back and available for selection for the first-team squad, following Cameroon’s exit from AFCON.

The goalkeeper had a terrible campaign to remember; as he was the latest to enter the competition, played terribly in the games he was involved in, and was then dropped for the R16 tie against Nigeria, which Cameroon lost.

Onana will be looking to put this terrible AFCON campaign and the first half of the season behind him and look to make amends by putting in a good performance against Wolves.

Rashford and Mount Updates

Erik ten Hag also added that Marcus Rashford would be available for selection in the first-team squad, after the controversy which saw him dropped for the FA Cup tie against Newport.

Mason Mount will not be making an appearance for the club unfortunately, as the Englishman is still recovering from a minor calf strain.

Speaking in his press conference, ten Hag said:

“So he has taken responsibility and for the rest it’s an internal matter. Case closed. Mason Mount, it is too soon, yeah. But Andre Onana will return.”

Man Utd will be looking to capitalize on the impressive 2-2 result against Tottenham with a win away at Wolves.

The Red Devils sit two positions above Wolves in the Premier League table, separated only by three points and a superior goal difference.

Onana’s return and Marcus Rashford’s responsibility for the recent incident could go a long way in securing the result at the Molineux, as the two will be looking to make amends with good performances.

Antony is also on a high, having scored his first goal of the season against Newport County in the FA Cup fourth round.

A win would see Man Utd leapfrog Brighton and Newcastle into 7th and on a stronger platform in their campaign to reach the top 4.
