Available left-backs for Manchester United

The 20-time English Champions are aiming at every possible left-back present in the transfer window. Thus, many rumored players have received interest from The Red Devils.

Left-back is an area where Manchester United needs to deploy reinforcements before the transfer deadline due to cope-up the injuries of Shaw and Malacia.

The only left-back who was fit in the team was Brandon Williams who now has been sent to Ipswich Town on a loan deal this summer.

So far this season, Ten Hag has used Dalot as the team’s left-back whose original position is to play on the right side of the defence.

Diogo is a right-footed player so it’s been an issue for him to play as a left-back.

Desperate times call for desperate measures

With the transfer deadline getting closed, Manchester United have also looked into defensive midfielders whom they can play as left-backs.

Players like Hojbjerg have been rumored to be transferred to Manchester United to cover up Shaw’s position.

In total, The Red Devils have short-listed 7 left-backs to replace Luke Shaw and Tyrell Malacia.

Some of the big names the list includes are Marcos Alonso, Cucurella, Spinazzola, and many more.

The club is also trying to bring in Amrabat from Fiorentina but no decisions have been made due to insufficient funds.

Manchester United have brought in 4 players so far in this window, Mount, Onana, Bayindir, and Højlund which places United in a difficult position with their economy.

Scott Mctominay is also featured in a rumored swap deal with Bayern Munich. The Red Devils could bring in Ryan Gravenberch and swap him with Mctominay.

This move will make the team defensively much stronger which fits Ten Hag’s plan. But the first priority of The Red Devils is to fix their left-back issue.
