Manchester United Striker Set to Sign NEW CONTRACT after IMPRESSING Erik ten Hag

Joe Hugill to sign new Manchester United contract

Manchester United are set to hand youngster Joe Hugill a new contract after standout performances, impressing Manchester United boss Erik ten Hag.

Manchester United to offer new contract to youngster

Manchester United youngster Joe Hugill is set to be handed a new contract after impressing Erik ten Hag. The 20-year-old Striker has been involved with the Man United first-team setup recently.

Youngster Hugill nears his debut after his last-minute addition to the matchday squad for the win against Everton back in November.

The youngster was reportedly back home having time off when he was unexpectedly called to be part of the squad to face Everton at Goodison Park.

ten Hag has also allowed the youngster to be on the bench for the Champions League games against Bayern Munich and Galatasaray, where he came close to making his debut.

The former Sunderland academy product has trained consistently with United’s first-team squad this season. The striker has also managed to score seven goals in nine starts for the Manchester United Under-23 squad.

United signed Hugill in the 2020 summer transfer window for £300,000, beating off competition from title favourites Arsenal and Tottenham.

United to consider a loan move for youngster

Manchester United are considering a loan for youngster Hugill in the January transfer window. The club would then reassess his place with the squad upon his return.

Manchester United are currently left with Rasmus Hojlund as the only available senior striker at the club, with Anthony Martial out with illness for the past three weeks, missing the last four matches. Recent reports also suggest that a move for the Frenchman may be beckoning in January.

With Ten Hag’s recent success in trusting youngsters like Garnacho and insufficient depth in the Striker position, it may turn out that the services of youngster Hugill may be required sooner than expected.
