Manchester United to buy £19m star Amad Diallo is reportedly interested in returning

Manchester United had the young winger Amad Diallo is reportedly considering a return to his former club Sunderland. 

Recent reports have revealed that talented young winger Amad Diallo, currently playing for Manchester United, may prefer to return to his former club, Sunderland, if he were to leave Old Trafford during the upcoming summer transfer window.

Diallo, who joined Man Utd from Atalanta in early 2021 for a substantial fee of £19 million, has found limited opportunities in the senior team, making only nine appearances thus far.

However, in previous years, he had successful loan spells at Rangers and Sunderland.

However, respected transfer expert Fabrizio Romano has stated that Diallo’s future remains uncertain, and Manchester United will decide his situation in the coming weeks.

Although Diallo hopes for an opportunity with United, Romano suggests that he prefers another loan spell at Sunderland for the upcoming season.

Interestingly, it was previously rumored that Erik ten Hag, the current manager of Ajax, would approve Diallo’s loan move back to Atalanta, his former club in Serie A if it formed part of a deal for Manchester United to secure the signing of Rasmus Hojlund.

Hojlund, valued at approximately £86 million, has garnered attention as one of United’s main targets for their striker position. Alternatively, United is also considering Randal Kolo Muani from Frankfurt.
