Mason Mount’s move to Man Utd is getting closer as the price approaches £60 million

Mason Mount is reportedly on the verge of leaving Stamford Bridge for Old Trafford for £60 million this summer, as Manchester United are closing in on him.

Man United are nearing a £60 million agreement to acquire Chelsea player Mason Mount. The Blues, who had been holding out for closer to £70 million for the England player, turned down United’s original offer of £50 million.

But after more discussions between the two teams, a settlement that will see Mount relocate to Old Trafford is almost ready to be agreed upon.

Mount is keen on the Man Utd move

The offensive midfielder has made it clear to Chelsea that he wants to move to Manchester United and has no desire to stay at Stamford Bridge.

Mount’s current Chelsea contract expires in only a year, and United thinks £60 million is a reasonable asking price for the 24-year-old.

According to reports, Mount and United have reached a personal agreement that will allow him to sign a five-year contract paying about £200,000 per week.

The Red Devils Erik the Hag wants the Mount deal to be finished in time for him to travel with the rest of the team to America for pre-season next month.

No plan for Chelsea’s extension

With the aim of rejuvenating his career, which has stagnated at Chelsea, Mount has been anxious to come to United.
