Sofyan Amrabat to Manchester United

Manchester United’s new signing Sofyan Amrabat suffered an injury during the international break.

Amrabat ‘felt something’ according to Morocco national team manager Walid Regragui, who gives this as a reason for his withdrawal from the squad.

Amrabat returns to Manchester United camp after injury scare

Sofyan Amrabat had been named in the Morocco squad for their Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifying matches. Thus, Morocco were set to play against Liberia and Burkina Faso.

However, Manchester United confirmed on Friday evening that the player was injured.

In a statement released by the Red Devils, the club stated that the player would return to Carrington for assessment and treatment. No information about the injury was provided in the statement.

However, Regragui insists that the withdrawal was a precautionary decision.

A back injury was picked by Amrabat during his medical for Manchester United. The midfielder is yet to make his debut for his new club and former manager.

Amrabat cannot make his debut for the Old Trafford outfit against Arsenal because he was not registered as a player of the club in time.

Although he is now registered, his injury scare will act as an obstacle on his route to debut for the 20-time English Champions.

Amrabat yet to set foot officially on Old Trafford

Sofyan Amrabat is still waiting to make his debut for the Premier League giants. The player’s transfer was filled with him linking with other clubs.

The 26-year-old midfielder is on loan from Fiorentina to Manchester United with an option of a permanent move next year.

The fans are desperate to see the World Cup star play for the Red Devils. Amrabat was impressive during Morocco’s Qatar World Cup 2022 campaign.

Morocco became the first African team ever to reach the semi-finals of a World Cup and Amrabat had a huge role in making that possible.

Man United suffered an embarrassing 3-1 loss to Arsenal which might be due to substitutes made by Ten Hag.

The Red Devils are going through an ‘injury period’ after players like Amrabat, Luke Shaw, and many more are going through injuries.

Amrabat was missed during the important game and Ten Hag had to use players like Maguire and Jonny Evans which led to the deciding goals.

Everyone was set and ready for Amrabat to show his flair at Old Trafford. But we all will have to prolong that wait now.
