Premier League club forcing Man United to make a move quickly for the Italian midfielder

Sandro Tonali to Man United

Newcastle United made an approach this summer, forcing Man United to act quickly to buy AC Milan midfielder Sandro Tonali.

One of Italy’s top midfielders, the 23-year-old has lately received a startling offer to join the Magpies from the Rossoneri, according to Sport Italia.

The Magpies have now made a €60-65 million offer to recruit Tonali during the summer transfer window after their chase of Nicolo Barella was unsuccessful.

His agent has already been to London to discuss personal terms, so in our opinion, United have to try to speed up their move for the Italian.

Man United or Newcastle: Where would Sandro Tonali end up?

The signing of Mason Mount, a standout player for Chelsea, is now a top priority for the Red Devils. To strengthen the central midfield division, the Englishman may be signed.

There are rumors that manager Erik ten Hag is looking for a second midfielder, though. Tonali, in our opinion, would be a good addition to the number six position.

Last season, Casemiro was United’s go-to starter at the position. However, when he was banned, the team’s performance suffered noticeably.

A better alternative for Fred and McTominay

We think Tonali would make a great deputy and may be a formidable opponent. With his improved defensive awareness, he definitely surpasses Scott McTominay and Fred in terms of performance.

In 48 games last year, he managed to contribute to 12 goals. Per league game, he prevailed in 3.5 duels and 1.9 tackles. Per outing, the 23-year-old recorded 1.8 critical passes.

Tonali has primarily played as a holding midfielder for Milan, but he can also play in a central position. He would be a fantastic addition to United if the Ten Hag can get the signing done in time.

Even though the Red Devils have a little transfer budget right now, they must be proactive if they hope to outbid the Magpies for the services of the highly regarded Italian star.

With Fred, Donny van de Beek, and maybe Scott McTominay leaving as part of the midfield makeover, United should be able to recover money in the upcoming weeks.

Thus, United fans be ready to see some action in the transfer market for the Old Trafford outfit soon.
