Man Utd star Marcus Rashford Linked to PSG Amidst Club Controversy

Reports suggest that Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) are eyeing Marcus Rashford for a potential transfer, especially after the forward’s recent disciplinary breach and alleged partying in Belfast.

Despite previous interest from PSG and Rashford’s new contract with Manchester United last summer, the French Ligue 1 champions are reportedly tempted to pursue Rashford again at the end of the season.

However, Manchester United appears reluctant to sell their homegrown talent, and Rashford himself is not actively seeking a move.

Following his breach, Rashford faced a hefty fine and took responsibility for his actions, as stated by the Red Devils.

Rashford Situation Deepens Amidst Absence and Meetings

After Manchester United’s triumph over Newport, manager Erik ten Hag addressed Marcus Rashford’s absence, attributing it to illness and affirming that it would be dealt with internally.

The Dutch Manager said,

“Yes, I am aware of it, I spoke with him about it,It’s unacceptable.

I told him, he apologised and that is it. For us, it’s an internal matter.”

Concurrently, Rashford was purportedly present at a meeting held at Carrington, attended by Sir Dave Brailsford and football director John Murtough, with his brother and agent Dwaine Maynard in tow.

These occurrences unfold against a backdrop of swirling conjecture regarding Rashford’s tenure at the club and PSG’s purported pursuit of the forward.

Gary Neville Stresses Timing and Responsibility

Former Manchester United captain Gary Neville weighed in on Marcus Rashford’s situation, emphasizing the importance of timing and responsible decision-making for professional footballers.

While acknowledging the need for players to enjoy downtime, Neville highlighted the significance of choosing appropriate moments, particularly considering Manchester United’s recent winter break.

I would say, go out and have your moment where you relax with your friends, but your timing has to be right.”

said the former Red Devils captain.

He noted Rashford’s experience and professionalism but expressed concern over repeated incidents, suggesting that such behaviour could potentially shape one’s personality if not addressed.

Despite Rashford’s current dip in form, Neville affirmed his belief in Rashford’s character and work ethic.
