PSG targeting Manchester United’s Fred this January

Fred to PSG

Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) are now interested in signing Fred while he resumes his season with Manchester United ahead of the January transfer window.

The United Fred PSG connection

According to The Sun, Paris Saint-Germain is considering a surprise deal for Fred, the midfielder for Manchester United. The Brazilian is presently playing with the Red Devils in his fourth season, and in those 17 outings, he has only seen 642 minutes of playing time.

The Sun now reports that PSG are planning to make a surprise move to capture the 29-year-old star. There have been rumors that he may depart the team. Fred’s contract just received a one-year extension from United to keep him until June 2024, but Les Parisiens are still interested in signing the star.

The future for Fred?

Erik ten Hag admires Fred greatly and is pleased with his outlook. United is willing to sell him for £30 million (€34 million), which PSG would be happy to do. This season, Fred has played just a supporting role for Ten Hag. In the Premier League, the Brazilian has frequently served as a replacement. Only when Christian Eriksen wasn’t healthy did he take over.

So, it won’t surprise us if the midfielder makes for the door leading out. United did the correct thing by activating the provision since they may now reclaim significant sums of money. Next summer, Ten Hag is anxious to add a young creative midfielder, and Fred is expected to depart the team along with Donny van de Beek, who has yet to establish his value.

In spite of PSG’s interest, United has a chance to get a decent price for Fred. They’ll also be looking for a respectable payment for Van de Beek. In English football, he has appeared to be out of his league. But be sure to treat all of these reports with caution. The idea that Fred would leave United soon doesn’t seem plausible.
