Manchester United boss Ruben Amorim believes there is something unique about Bryan Mbeumo as the forward prepares for an emotional return to Brentford.
The Cameroon international faces his former club this weekend in a game that carries more than the usual three points.
Mbeumo joined United in a £70 million move over the summer after six standout years with the Bees.
He scored 72 goals and added 51 assists in 242 games for Brentford, turning himself into one of the Premier League’s sharpest attacking weapons.
Now, only weeks into his Old Trafford career, he already looks like a key piece in Amorim’s puzzle. The forward has struck twice in six appearances and is winning praise for his all-round game.

What Ruben Amorim said about Bryan Mbeumo?
Speaking before the trip to London, Amorim shared his admiration for the 25-year-old’s influence. “It’s really important for everything that he has been doing. The light that he brings to the dressing room,” the United manager said.
“He is not the guy who talks, but he is always there to help us. He runs a lot, presses a lot, he is a different threat to last season. I’m more than happy with Bryan.”
Amorim also highlighted Mbeumo’s set-piece ability and relentless pressing as traits that set him apart in a squad chasing back-to-back league wins. United will be without Lisandro Martinez and Casemiro, but the focus will be on how Mbeumo handles the spotlight in front of old friends and fans who once celebrated his every goal.
Mbeumo, known for his cool finishing and tireless running, now faces the club that shaped his rise. A sharp performance at the Gtech Stadium could make his new supporters even more excited about what’s ahead.
