Simon Jordan says one Man United ace was ‘really good’ vs Bayern Munich

Manchester United wants to sell Anthony Martial

Anthony Martial coming on as a substitute was the only good which Manchester United got from their UEFA Champions League matchup against Bayern Munich.

The Red Devils lost 4-3 against Bayern Munich in their first UCL opener as the scoreline doesn’t justify the difference in the level of performance from both teams.

Martial impresses Manchester United despite loss

Manchester United used Anthony Martial against Bayern Munich as a substitute which turned out to be a positive decision.

Former Crystal Palace chairman Simon Jordan stated that Martial’s coming on was really good for the visitors.

“I’ll tell you who I thought as really good when he came on; Anthony Martial

He was sharp as a tack. He looked lively.”

Simon Jordan said while talking to talkSPORT

The 20-time English Champions were competitive against the Bundesliga giants but fell short by just a goal.

The defensive displayed another poor performance and did let Bayern attackers tear through.

“There doesn’t seem to be the desire,

The one thing you can do is put your body in the way, make it ugly and make it difficult, and they don’t’ seem able to do that.”

Apart from Anthony Martial, Rasmus Hojlund, Sergio Reguilon, and Casemiro, Manchester United were in shambles.

Back to the Champions League but with a defeat

Manchester United have had a very tough start to their season but Simon Jordan believes that they will qualify through the group stages.

“I don’t expect that United won’t get out of this group or do a decent performance in the league. Now, they are a competitive side but they are not a formidable side. And I don’t know whether Ten Hag (is the man to fix it).

“This side is not getting any closer to regaining the pomp and the ceremony of what United once had.”

Ten Hag has a lot of problems on his hand regarding the team on and off the field due to which United continue to struggle.

Sancho seems to be getting better out of their conflict which makes things difficult for Ten Hag.

“It is still the culture of this football club. The culture is embodied by Sancho feeling he has the right to challenge the manager

All of that culture is indicative of why United continue to struggle”.

United are in deep trouble and are in urgent need of some victories to revive their season.
