During the post-match interview after their loss to Arsenal, Manchester United manager Erik Ten Hag reveals the new roles for their signing Sofyan Amrabat.

The manager talked about their miserable loss and team management in the interview.

Amrabat on loan to Manchester United

Manchester United were looking to sign Amrabat this whole summer. Meanwhile, Amrabat was linked with Atletico Madrid and Liverpool as well but the player decided to stick with the Red Devils.

Manchester United signed the midfielder on a season-loan from Fiorentina and the player is all set to kick-start his new journey in England.

The Red Devils are expecting to be delighted by his performance as fans have very high expectations from the World Cup star.

Amrabat impressed each of their suitors with his performance at the World Cup 2022 where Morocco reached the semi-finals.

Current Manchester United defensive midfielder Casemiro has been taking it easy since there are no competitors to fight him for his position in the first team.

Sofyan Amrabat will give the competition that Casemiro needs and help the team with a competing attitude.

Erik Ten Hag speaks out about Amrabat

After their miserable 3-1 loss to Arsenal away from home, Manchester United’s manager finally speaks up about Amrabat.

He made it clear that the team needed a defensive midfielder and they have hit a jackpot by signing a Sofyan Amrabat.

“It was already, from the start of the season, one of my wishes to get another [number] six, a holding midfielder, in the squad because through the season you need that depth there,’

He is very dynamic, he’s very good in the duels. So we are pleased that we have him at United and I think he will contribute to our high targets we set.“

Ten Hag said during the post-match interview

Ten Hag has waited long enough for the signing to take place but he believes,

‘Sometimes you have to wait for the right timing’
