The Declan Rice saga takes another turn as Manchester United are approaching for the English talent

Declan Rice to Manchester United

In the midst of the Gunners trying for Declan Rice once again as their first bid was rejected by Villa, Manchester United’s approach towards the English talent might just become Arteta’s nightmare.

Some of the most recent information coming out of The Emirates were detailed in an article by Football Transfers. Arsenal haven’t officially announced their first signing despite having a strong interest in a number of players.

Kai Havertz to be the first signing despite Declan Rice being the first priority

For Chelsea forward Kai Havertz, who may be the first player coming through the door, they seem to have little competition with Declan Rice. The final elements of the 24-year-old’s long-term contract to join Arsenal are now being worked out.

Declan Rice, the captain of West Ham United, is Arsenal’s top summer target.

The addition of the England international would enhance Arsenal’s midfield right away if Thomas Partey and Granit Xhaka were to go.

However, Mikel Arteta is now stressed out since Manchester United are challenging Arsenal for Rice.

Rice has been associated with both Manchester teams and Pep Guardiola’s team is set to submit an offer as well. When it comes to Arsenal signing their top targets, nothing ever seems to be simple.

Arteta is concerned about the offer from Man United for Rice

“Arsenal face a complication in that [Declan Rice] deal as Man Utd have stepped in with a player-plus-cash deal that has been described as Arteta’s “worst nightmare,” according to a report from Football Transfers.

Scott McTominay is the player in issue who may be included in Manchester United’s offer. The Scottish international has been connected to West Ham and Newcastle.

Ten Hag seems content to let him leave, especially if Rice is added this summer as an improvement. Arteta could be concerned by the fact that Arsenal doesn’t seem eager to trade Rice for a player like Manchester United would.

Rice still seems more eager to join the Gunners than any of Arsenal’s opponents to sign with them this summer. This might aid the Gunners in closing a deal if West Ham decides to accept more than one offer.

It is obvious how Rice would fit into a line-up for a more competitive Arsenal. It might not come down to him, as Arteta might lose out on his top target if West Ham receives a bigger offer from another club.
