Edmond Tapsoba to Manchester United

Tottenham Hotspur are concerned as Man United joins the race for Edmond Tapsoba this summer.

They require at least one new player in that position, but ideally, manager Ange Postecoglou prefers to acquire two.

Tottenham concerned as Man United enters the race

Over the past few weeks, there have been strong links between Edmond Tapsoba and a move to Tottenham.

The 24-year-old Bayer Leverkusen star is highly regarded, showcasing his brilliance in the Bundesliga for the past two years.

According to a recent report from Football London, Tapsoba’s potential transfer fee is estimated to be around £50 million this summer, making him Tottenham’s most expensive acquisition if they manage to secure his services.

According to 90min, there is a concern at Tottenham due to increasing interest from rival clubs, namely Manchester United, Liverpool, and Newcastle United, in signing Edmond Tapsoba.

Tottenham’s pressing need for a center-back should motivate them to secure the deal.

However, Leverkusen’s high asking price raises questions about whether Daniel Levy will approve such a significant move, particularly after investing a substantial sum in James Maddison.

Tottenham deserves much credit for their early signings in the window, securing Guglielmo Vicario and James Maddison, who will significantly enhance the team.

Despite progress, there is still work to be done for Spurs.

The priority remains on acquiring two central defenders, and Tapsoba would be an excellent addition to the team.

To make a statement, Levy must outpace Manchester United and other competitors in securing his signature this summer.

However, with Manchester United, Liverpool, and Newcastle United, are all said to be keen to sign him, Spurs might eventually find themselves behind this race.
